Consuelo Cloos (1887-1985), poet and surrealistic impressionist, was a prolific artist who produced her major artworks in the 1940s and 1950s.

She produced nearly 1000 works in
oils, pastels, watercolors and mixed media. What is a Giclée Print?
The Giclée ("JEE-clay") digital method of printing was first developed in 1989,
and is today the most technologically advanced method of printing in the world
of fine art. Giclées are produced on acid-free water color paper or canvas like
an original. First, the original is photographed and then scanned and saved
into
a computer. Printing is done one line at a time using tiny ink jets thinner
than a
human hair, giving the finished giclée a rich texture. It is this exacting and
precise
method which allows the most faithful reproduction of the artwork. Giclées have
been extensively tested for durability, with pigment-based inks made to last
over
100 years without a noticeable fade. However, giclées must be treated like any
other work of art: avoid direct sunlight and exposure to water, and frame your
works behind glass. In the view of the art-collecting public, the giclée allows
the stunning effect of the original at a fraction of the cost.
The giclées sold here are printed on acid
free 256 gram archival quality concord white rag paper.
This is the first coated fine art paper engineered
for the wide format printer and the image quality is impressive.
The 100% cotton fiber mold-made paper features
a beautiful texture and at 256 grams per square meter, has a quality feel.
The paper is pH neutral, acid-free and lignin free, and contains no optical
brighteners.
These giclées are sealed with a clear
spray varnish.
